What is Global Education? With the emphasis on unity and interdependence of human society, global education helps students develop a sense of self in regards to the world around them, appreciation of cultural diversity and affirmation of social justice and human rights. Global education equips learners with strategies on how to build and maintain peace for a sustainable future by promoting positive values and helping students to be responsible for their actions and to see themselves as global citizens.

PurposeThe reason for creating this website is to promote the importance of global education in our community and beyond. By sharing resources and expertise collected during my Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellowship I hope to help colleagues and students experience true global citizenship, even if only within the classroom.
